The public agency Incasòl (the Catalan Land Institute) has chosen us to build 400 rental homes on the plots of the former Montesa motorcycle factory in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona).
The objective is to facilitate access for broad social groups to subsidized housing under a rental scheme based on a specific maximum limit of family income, thus easing the economic burden of rent through the construction of homes designated for affordable rental.
We have been awarded three plots to manage the rental for 75 years in this municipality of the metropolitan area, where we will specifically build 402 homes.
The area of Esplugues where these homes will be built spans 11 hectares over the former Montesa, a motorcycle factory (now owned by the Japanese company Honda) that operated from 1962 to 2002. These lands are adjacent to the Ronda de Dalt and L'Hospitalet.
The new neighborhood will host 2,105 homes, more than 50% of which will be protected housing (and of those, half, about 750, will be designated for rental).
Culmia is the developer responsible for the construction and delivery of the buildings, and we collaborate with Sogeviso, which will handle the management of the housing stock once construction is completed.
